Sunday, April 3, 2016 :: Brian Lightsey

We hear about Muslims every day in the news, but most of us know very little about them. What is Islam? How is it different from Christianity? Are all Muslims violent? How are Christians supposed to respond to Muslims?

This Sunday, April 3, we begin a new sermon series, The Cross and the Crescent, and look at some of the basics concerning what Islam is.

Sunday, February 28, 2016 :: Brian Lightsey

Recovery Road: Part 6 Voluntarily Submit to Every Change to God
Sunday, February 21, 2016 :: Brian Lightsey

Mother Teresa once said that in India people are starving physically, but in America, they're starving emotionally.  We all have a spiritual hunger and thirst inside of us, so we use phrases like "My life is empty." How can we be filled?

We answer this question this Sunday, February 21, as we continue our sermon series, Recovery Road.

48:14
Recovery Road: Part 5 Openly Examine and Confess My Faults
Sunday, February 14, 2016 :: Brian Lightsey

Guilt is universal. It strikes people of all ages everywhere. No one is exempt. Some experts call guilt the "number-one killer," surpassing cancer, heart failure, accidents, and addictions simply because guilt is a major contributor to all of these problems. We definitely struggle with guilt. How do we find the exit ramp for the guilt trip?

This Sunday we continue our sermon series, Recovery Road and discuss what Jesus has to say about purity and experiencing cleansing from our guilt.

56:40
Recovery Road: Part 4 Consciously Choose to Commit to Christ
Sunday, February 7, 2016 :: Brian Lightsey

One of the results of playing God and trying to control so many areas of our lives (and other people's lives!) is that we become weighted down, burdened, and exhausted.

This Sunday we continue our sermon series, Recovery Road, and we discuss what Jesus has to say about control, and what to do about the burdens we carry.

38:28
Recovery Road: Part 3 Earnestly Believe in God and His Power
Sunday, January 31, 2016 :: Brian Lightsey

We all have regrets and hurts from our past. Sometimes, they hold us back and keep us from living effectively in the present and from facing confidently the future. How do we move forward?

This Sunday we get guidance from Jesus as we continue our sermon series called Recovery Road.
