Derek Sherman
Derek started attending Life Church in 2017 and came on staff in 2018. Derek comes from the corporate world with 23 years of professional sales and marketing experience. Derek started his career in the high-tech industry before moving into the packaging world at Pelican. Derek has grown and built relationships that last today within companies like Dell, Lockheed Martin, and our military forces. He has held many positions including territory manager, sales director, and VP of Business Development.
Favorite Verse: “I’m not good with favorites as it’s too hard, like 2 Chronicles 7:14, John 15:5, Mark 9:24, so many…I will go with 1 John 3:16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.”

About his family: “I’ve been married to my wife for 25 years and we have two amazing boys that are 23 and 17. They are both incredibly talented, funny, and quite different like most siblings! Never a dull moment!”
Derek does an amazing job managing so many ministries and moving parts! And he does it all while smiling, cracking jokes, and singing loudly through the halls! We are so thankful that we get to have him as a part of our team.
