J Mendl
J has been attending Life Church since 2017, and came on staff in 2021.According to J, he has the best job in the world. Fun with Life Church kids and creating art events and productions with artists at Life Church for Christ, what could be better? J originally perused an acting career and enjoyed his time living and performing in New York City. J was quickly drawn to Children’s theatre and eventually became a Children’s motivational speaker traveling all over the US, Australia, and the U.K speaking to elementary school students about character and kindness. After attending Life Church, he felt drawn to ministry. J started as a teacher in Middle School Student Life ministry and has recently become the Kids and Arts Pastor. J is overjoyed to feel God using his love for the arts and children to further God’s kingdom.

He is passionate about: “My wife who is brilliant and beautiful, daughter who is the brightest, funniest, sweetest girl you can imagine, and foster son who’s smile melts hearts. Also, Graeter’s ice cream.”
In his free time he likes to: “Play Super Smash Brothers or watch the Great British Baking Show”

About his family: “Caroline, my wife, is the communications director at Life Church. The work she does and her incredible heart amaze me. My 6 year old daughter keeps me laughing and impressed with her dinosaur facts and empathetic heart. We have an infant foster son as well! He brings joy to our house and has the best smile you can imagine.”
