Tim Schlung
Tim has been attending Life Church since 2014, and came on staff the same year. He originally set out to be a Missionary, and he and his wife Mary did an internship in Honduras helping to bring biblical education to pastors living in rural areas. While in seminary, he gained a stronger vision for local ministry of multiplication and sending and began to pursue and serve in pastoral ministry roles.
Favorite Verse: Matthew 5:16
He is passionate about: “I love connecting people with God, and their giftings. I particularly love seeing those who are on the fringes or overlooked get connected and play their role as one of the important members of the body of Christ. I also have a deep desire to see unreached people groups come to Christ.”
In his free time he likes to: “I love the outdoors! Hiking, camping, biking, running, fishing, kayaking… you name it. If it’s outdoors I love it! One of the ways I connect with God is through the beauty and grandeur of his creation.”
Favorite Life Church Event: “Men’s Breakfast! MMMM…Bacon!”
Special Skill: “I can play the didgeridoo.”
His wife, Mary, is an educator. His son is pursuing engineering and his daughter is pursing occupational therapy.
We are thankful for this crazy guy! He brings so much laughter and fun to our team all while pointing us to the lost and broken. We love having him at LC!
